Advertising is an important part of any companies
business - after all if you don't advertise, who knows you are
out there?
However, there are many ways to advertise.
This section
deals with press advertising, but other methods include email
shots, direct mail, leaflets and of course your web site which
some companies
find one of their most effective marketing tools.
Press advertising is expensive and unless you really
target your market and place ads in the correct publications can
be a waste of time.
We understand that adverts have to be impactful and
to the point. We would however always advise you to look at alternative
methods of raising your awareness rather than blowing all your
budget on an advertisement. In our experience, a multiple pronged
approach usually works better!
Case Study 1: MENARINI
Menarini is an Italian pharmaceutical company that specialises
in diabetes products. They chose to advertise in medical journals
throughout
the year.
Case Study 2: EDDAHSU
A couture dressmaking company
based in Germany. Their requirement was for a series of ads placed
over the year in a trade journal - one that everyone in their market
reads. This was a good choice and the campaign consisting of 3
advertisements worked well.
